I left with insights and was energized with new strategies and valuable practical tools, illuminating quality ideas for liberation and coping with mental stress, particularly in areas of boosting self-esteem and recovering from burnout.

What is psychological first aid?
Psychological first aid is direct emotional support in the moment you need it. It is not diagnosis or therapy. Jisr volunteers are trained in this kind of support and are committed to confidentiality and respect for your privacy.

Who is behind Jisr?
Jisr is a project of the Life Pulse Volunteer Team in the Kingdom of Bahrain, run by volunteers and free of charge for everyone who uses it. Our aim is to close the distance between people who need psychological support and those with the skills and the will to offer it, and to make the first step easier for anyone living in Bahrain.
What are the limits of the service?
Jisr is not a replacement for professional psychological or medical treatment, and it is not an emergency service. If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, call 999 right away. If you need specialist care, we will help you find the right place to go.
